The recommendation of not using pull tabs is due to potentially obscuring any of the card’s surface on the First View raw images taken of your items when they’re first unboxed and received at PSA. Items are not removed from the holder they are submitted in until they reach the grading room. For imaging purposes, we prefer that the full surface of the card – front and back – be clearly visible and unobstructed.
