Marvel will collect the end of the original Thunderbolts series in Thunderbolts: Uncaged, a hardcover omnibus that starts with the introduction of a new Thunderbolts team of Juggernaut, Crossbones, Moonstone, Ghost, and Man-Thing as part of Marvel’s Heroic Age program and winds up with transformation of the series into the Dark Avengers. The 1,160-page hardcover includes Thunderbolts (1997) #144-174 and #163.1, Dark Avengers (2012) #175-190 and material from Enter the Heroic Age #1. The series is written by Jeff Parker, with art by Kev Walker, Declan Shalvey, Matthew Southworth, and Neil Edwards, among others. The omnibus will be available with two covers, one by Greg Land and a direct market-only cover by Mark Bagley. MSRP will be $125.
The earlier issues are collected in Thunderbolts Vols. 1-3.
Marvel Studios recently added Oscar-nominated actor Steven Yuen to the cast of the upcoming Thunderbolts movie, which is slated for release in July 2024 (see “Steven Yuen in ‘Thunderbolts’”).
