Painted by Long Lost Minis November 2022
I picked this adorable model up at Weekend Anime while visiting the other Portland a couple years ago. The shop is great! Absolutely check it out if you’re in the area. (Get a drink at @mastlanding too, for a perfect day.) In addition to a wide assortment of cards, minis, and games (including some second-hand; why don’t more stores do this?), they also had a rack of minis printed in-house and by local artists, like this little guy.
Obviously I was immediately reminded of one the best OG Yu-Gi-Oh cards, Baby Dragon, and had to paint him in that scheme. I haven’t really done much else in this big, smooth, cartoon / toy style, but I think it came out really great. He dutifully holds a d20 in his outstretched hands, if you let him.
I gifted this model away that Christmas, so these photos on the different background are from the time.
