Cheap Wax Wednesday Box Breaks: 2022 Topps Mini Baseball

2022 Topps Mini Baseball released exclusively on the company’s website in mid-November. It sold out extremely quickly as a lot of these online releases tend to do. Luckily, I was quick enough to grab a couple packs for myself. Each contains 35 cards. Of those 35 cards, 30 should be base, two should be inserts, and three should be colored parallels. Autographs are not guaranteed in every pack and are a tougher pull. If you do land one, it will replace one of the base cards in the count. The checklist for this one is absolutely massive, and includes all 660 base cards featured in Series 1 and 2 as well as all 330 base cards featured in Topps Update.

I know I have featured quite a few online-exclusive products on here recently, but bear with me for one more. This one happens to be one of my two favorite annual online releases. It certainly helps that the cost doesn’t break the bank either. I was able to grab two packs and still stay under the $50 price ceiling considered for this series.

Lastly, the George Springer card back. Luckily, they are labeled as “MINI” in case you can’t, you know, tell that they’re smaller.

Like I said above, this product is one of my favorite annual online-exclusive releases, joining Topps 206. I think the value is there without having to hope to hit an absolute monster at crazy long odds.

Clearly Pack 1 far outshined Pack 2. I was lucky to pull the Nootbaar autograph. It was also a bonus that this one happened to be on-card, as not all of the autographs from this set are.

Keep an eye out this fall to try to snag some 2023 Topps Mini for yourself. Just wait until after I order mine, okay?
