Something a little different this week as I bridge the gap from football to baseball season. This week’s break features not just multiple sports, but also actors, musicians, politicians, and even landmarks.
2014 Panini Golden Age features a 150-card base checklist. In addition to the base cards, there are four different full set parallels. Mini parallels are found in every pack. White Border parallels should be found once in every box. First 50 parallels are limited to 50 copies and there are also Black Border one-of-ones.
The multiple inserts are mostly historical based. In every box you should find one memorabilia card and one autograph card. There are some big baseball names included in the autograph checklist including Ernie Banks, Steve Carlton, Pete Rose and Frank Robinson.

Each box starts with one of twelve different 5×7 box toppers. I landed Teddy Ballgame, my favorite from the checklist.

Lastly, the P.T. Barnum card back. Definitely plenty of interesting info in this set.
Once you get through all of the packs, you will notice the box bottom cards. Each box has a three-card panel of box bottom cards. These ones happen to be Croft’s Swiss Milk Cocoa Red Back parallels.
I focus my collecting mostly on just baseball and football, but this one was still fun. There are quite a few baseball cards on the checklist, and seeing how I didn’t own a single card from this set before today, all of them will be new additions to my player binders.
Unfortunately, I didn’t pull any of the big names on the memorabilia or autograph checklist, but they are there for the finding.
