It brings the franchise into the premium card realm with a checklist that’s entirely high-end. Autographs and traditional memorabilia cards are here but so are things like diamond-embedded cards and other low-numbered technology-driven inserts.

2023 Upper Deck Black Diamond James Bond Checklist Overview
Gemography, a staple in Black Diamond Hockey, has a diamond to go along with an autograph.
Diamond Relics come with anywhere from one to four gems.

With just six copies each, Band of Color are some of the rarest cards in Black Diamond James Bond. Each of these has six diamonds covering the rainbow spectrum: red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple.

It’s not just sparkly gems that are in the product. Collectors can find small nuggets of gold in Goldfinger’s Secret Reserve (/10).

Metal cards are available in a couple of themes. Metal Array highlights Bond characters and the actors who play them. Beside Gold (/99) and Red (/25) parallels, select cards also have autographs.

Metal Posters recreate some iconic Bond artwork and also include a character from the featured film. All 25 James Bond movies are represented on these.

Among the other premium inserts in the product are Diamond Connection (/99) and Diamond Gallery. Both of these incorporate acetate into their already intricate designs.

Black Diamond also incorporates another Upper Deck brand into its checklist. Exquisite Collection, a line that dates back 20 years, was revolutionary in kicking off the modern premium end of the hobby. It has only appeared sporadically on entertainment trading cards, though. But now Exquisite is making its James Bond debut.
Each Black Diamond box has one card under the Exquisite banner. In addition to the base versions, which are numbered to 175, there are Gold (/99), Red (/25), Pink (/10), Orange (/5) and Black (1/1) parallels.

This is the third set of James Bond trading cards from Upper Deck. Black Diamond follows 2019 James Bond Collection and 2021 Villains and Henchmen.
