2023 Topps Chrome Black Baseball brings combines sleek and simple. A more high-end feel and configuration than the main Chrome line (but not quite the level of Gilded Collection), boxes have just four cards, one of which is an autograph.
2023 Topps Chrome Black Baseball Checklist Overview
Although it carries the Topps Chrome name, this is a standalone release and not a spinoff. The design is completely different and so is the build of the checklist. The base set has just 100 cards, blending rookies and top stars.
The design is modern in its accents but the dominant feature is the dark backdrop (hence, Topps Chrome Black).
Parallels, all of which are serial numbered, land one per box. The rainbow includes:

Select first-year players also appear on Rookie Design Variations. These are somewhat tough, landing one per case. Red Refractors (/5) and Superfractors (1/1) are the lone parallels.
Autographs
It’s not just the design that’s sleek. The checklist is as well. The only other inserts in the product are autographs. And even then, there are only three styles, excluding parallels. Like past years, these come already encased in a one-touch holder.
Topps Chrome Black Autographs adapt the base design. Refractors (/150), Green Refractors (/99), Gold Refractors (/50), Gold Mini-Diamond Refractors (/50), Orange Refractors (/25), Red Refractors (/5) and Superfractors (1/1) are also available.
Super Futures Autographs (/99) return with signatures from some of the game’s young stars. Gold Refractors (/50), Orange Refractors (/25), Red Refractors (/5) and Superfractors (1/1) are the lone parallels for these.
New this year are Topps Chrome Ivory Autographs, offering some contrast to the product’s black designs (and name). Gold Trim (/25), Red Trim (/5) and Superfractors (1/1) are also available.
