The Doctors are in with 2023 Rittenhouse Doctor Who Series 1-4 trading cards. Jumping back to the start of the revival that launched in 2005, the product takes a deep dive into the first four seasons. That means multiple Doctors, several companions and some notable guest stars.
The checklist is a big one, both in size and scope. Leading the way are autographs, which land four per box. Of those, one comes with an inscription.
2023 Rittenhouse Doctor Who Series 1-4 Checklist Overview
The base set is a fairly big one, landing with 156 cards. That works out to be precisely three cards per episode from the four featured series (seasons). These cover both the Ninth Doctor played by Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant as the Tenth Doctor.
All have a pair of foil-stamped parallels, Gold TARDIS (/99) and Red TARDIS (/50).
Eccleston and Tennant are among the headliners when it comes to the product’s autograph checklist. For Eccleston, these are his first Doctor Who autograph cards. Tennant signed several years ago for Topps, but these are his first on-card autographs for the iconic show.
Other key autographs include Billie Piper (Rose Tyler), Freema Agyeman (Martha Jones) and Camille Coduri (Jackie Tyler).
His time on the show was limited, but Andrew Garfield’s signature should also draw plenty of attention. The Oscar nominee is best known for playing Spider-Man in the first reboot as well as reprising his role No Way Home.
This is the list of confirmed signers so far:
- Freema Agyeman as Martha Jones
- Annette Badland as Margaret Blaine
- Ryan Carnes as Laszlo
- Camille Coduri as Jackie Tyler
- Christine Cole as Lilith
- Shaun Dingwall as Pete Tyler
- Christopher Eccleston as Ninth Doctor
- Andrew Garfield as Frank
- Sean Gilder as Sycorax Leader
- Jacqueline King as Sylvia Noble

- Will Thorp as Toby Zed
There are also two Dual Autographs for dealer incentives. To get one of them, they must order six cases (both for ordering 12 cases). The first has Eccleston and Piper while the second moves to the Tenth Doctor with Tennant and Piper.
While the base set delves into the 13 episodes that makes up each series, there are separate inserts for corresponding Holiday Specials (1:8 packs). Each of the eight are summarized over six cards making for a large 48-card set.
Four different nine-card puzzles are also part of the checklist: The Doctor (Christopher Eccleston), The Doctor (David Tennant), Rose Tyler Companion, and Martha Jones Companion. Collectors should find one card from each of the Companion Puzzles per box. Both Doctor Puzzles have 1:48 pack odds.
Friends and enemies are also featured on the checklist in Allies of the Doctor (22 cards, 1:12 packs) and Adversaries of the Doctor (32 cards, 1:8 packs).
Sketch cards are randomly inserted. Artists include Norman Jim Faustino, Kevin Graham, Tirso Llaneta, Chris Meeks, Paul Shiernd and Huy Truong.
