2023 Panini Stars & Stripes USA Baseball continues with the brand’s recent history of being the place to find some of the first cards for many of the game’s youngest prospects.
And while USA Baseball gets most of the attention, U-18 Baseball World Cup players from other parts of the globe are also in the product. Between those and the various levels of the American system, 15 different teams are on the checklist.
Hobby boxes have seven total hits, which averages out to more than one per hobby pack.
2023 Panini Stars & Stripes USA Baseball Checklist Overview
One of the more notable changes this year is with the base set. It’s transitioning from standard stock to optichrome, giving all of the cards a metallic look and feel. Among the 10 parallels are Silver and a pair of hobby-exclusives, Bronze, Silver and Gold, and Gold Vinyl.
Autographs come in a variety of forms. USA Silhouettes Signatures Jerseys and Collegiate National Team Training Camp Signatures both combine autographs and memorabilia.
U-18 Baseball World Cup Signatures cover many of the international teams found in the product including Canada and Mexico.
It’s a similar set up for U-18 Baseball World Cup Materials, only here cards come with swatches instead of ink.
2023 Stars & Stripes adds some oversized memorabilia with Jumbo Cleats and Jumbo Batting Gloves. Bat Knobs also appear.
