2023 Panini Prime NASCAR Racing marks the first standalone release for the high-end, hits-driven brand since 2019. Six out of the seven cards in every hobby box are hits, split evenly between autographs and memorabilia cards.
On-card ink is a key part of the product and found on many parts of Prime’s checklist.
Prime Number Signatures is a new autograph theme. Racers have multiple cards that double as puzzle pieces. Put them together and it shows how many laps they led over the course of the season. Each card is numbered to that same stat.
It’s all NASCAR Hall of Famers in the aptly named Hall of Fame Signatures while Prime Signatures takes a more all-encompassing approach.
Dual Prime Signatures doubles things up with autographs from a pair of racers.
In addition to standard autographs, there are also multiple places that add memorabilia to the mix including Signature Swatches, Midnight Silhouette Signatures and Souvenir Signatures.
Similar to Panini’s Immaculate in other sports, Prime has a variety of memorabilia offerings.
Both Names and Nicknames use die-cut windows to showcase relics.
Race Used Firesuits cards come with between one and four different swatches. Similar approaches are available for sheet metal and tires as well.
Prime Jumbo has some of the most memorable memorabilia in the product, including patches that take up virtually the entire card.
Every hobby box rounds out with either a base card or one of its parallels. In addition to standard racer cards, the checklist includes Hall of Fame, Champions and Trackside Collection subsets.
