2023 Donruss Optic UFC brings some flash and shine to the Octagon — not to mention a colorful lineup and some standout inserts. The second standalone UFC release for the chromium brand, standard hobby boxes promise at least one autograph plus either an average of one insert or parallel per pack.
2023 Donruss Optic UFC Checklist Overview
If the base set design seems familiar, it is. Based on 2023 Donruss UFC, this time things are done in chrome giving everything a metallic makeover. This includes the cornerstone Rated Rookie subset that has a long history with all things Donruss. Bo Nickal, Jack Della Maddalena and Alex Pereira are among the rookies.
Being a modern chrome release means lots of parallels as well. Among them are Pink Velocity, Black Velocity and Gold Vinyl, which are all only in hobby. Other pack and box configurations have their own exclusives.
Rated Rookies Signatures is one of the main places to find autographs. These take the look of the base card with the one major addition.
Other signature themes include Opti-Graphs and Authority of the Octagon that reaches beyond fighters to include ink from UFC officials.
Leading the other inserts is Downtown. These are tough, landing less than one per hobby case.
Light It Up and Rising Suns are among the other insert sets.
