Rookies rule in 2023-24 Panini Origins Basketball. The early-season release centers its checklist largely on the season’s first-year players with an emphasis on etherial designs and a steady stream of autographs.
Seven-card hobby boxes have two hits, at least one of which is an autograph. There are also H2 boxes this time around that carry more cards but not a lot of hits.
2023-24 Panini Origins Basketball Checklist Overview
The base set charts an elegant trip into space, delivering a mix of veteran stars (no pun intended) and rookies.
Parallels come to land two per hobby box. Exclusives here include Red, Tessellated, Blue (/99), Orange (/75), Turquoise (/50), Neon Stripes (/49), Gold (/10), Green (/5) and Black (1/1). H2 boxes also deliver two parallels. Their assortment comes in Basketball, Cosmos, Maroon (/115), Pink (/60) and Neon Green (/25).
Select base cards also have variations.

Autographs and Other Inserts
Rookie Jersey Autographs rank among the standout hits in 2023-24 Origins. Swatches on these are larger than a lot of other similar releases.

Rookie Autographs and Elevation Signatures are among the other places to find ink-from first-year players. Red (/49) and Pink (/25) parallels for Elevation Signatures are only in hobby boxes. Both sets have Turquoise (/15) versions that are H2 exclusives.

For collectors seeking signatures from vets, there’s Universal Autographs.

Book card themes include Rookie Auto Booklet Patch and Six Star Signatures, both of which have one-of-one parallels to go with their already tough base versions.
Animals are the inspiration for a couple of the rarest inserts on the 2023-24 Panini Origins Basketball checklist. Tiger Eyes return and are only available in hobby.

Similar Snake Eyes cards are exclusive to H2.

Keeping with the product’s space motif are new Cosmic Storm inserts, another hobby-exclusive.

H2 boxes have Catapults, Euphoria, Nucleus and Taking a Leap. This is also the only place to find Big Bang, another SSP insert for the product.
