2022 Bowman Chrome University Football is all about football’s future. While there are some familiar elements to the freshman release, there’s a big change for the sophomore set. It begins the rollout of Fanatics’ collegiate card license. Combine that with new NIL rules and this means some of the checklist will have current collegiate players with full school colors, logos and uniforms.

2022 Bowman Chrome U has a handful of other inserts.
1952 Bowman Football (1:6 packs) goes back in time seven decades for its design. It’s not entirely old-school, though. This time it’s in chrome.
Top position players are featured in Ramblin’ Man (1:8 packs), an insert set that’s making its debut.
Bowman Invicta, a theme used in multiple 2022 Bowman Baseball products, makes the jump over to football. However, these are only in hobby packs, falling approximately two per box.
For those looking to chase case hit-style inserts, The Big Kahuna is back along with its tough 1:288 pack odds.
All four of these have Orange Refractors (/25) and Superfractors (1/1) plus autographs for select cards. 1952 Bowman and Ramblin’ Man have additional Aqua Refractors (/150) while Invicta cards get Lava Refractors (/150).
