2022-23 Panini Prizm Basketball marks the eleventh season for the juggernaut hoops line. As a brand that has carved out a distinct identity, collectors should expect any major changes. It’s shiny, as usual and offers a rainbow mix of parallels plus a large assortment of inserts.
Prizm also includes several different box configurations. This includes traditional hobby boxes, which promise a pair of autographs, a dozen inserts and 22 total Prizms parallels. Smaller Choice and Fast Break boxes also return with an assortment of exclusives.
2022-23 Panini Prizm Basketball Checklist Overview
The base set offers a fairly deep mix of players including vets and rookies. Part of Prizm’s popularity is that fact that Rookie Cards typically draw noticeably more interest and a premium over a lot of other widely available lines. It’s a testament to the brand’s popularity and reach.
Then there are the Prizms, the dozens of different parallels that drive much of the product’s chase. Among the colors and patterns in hobby packs are Mojo, Gold, Black Gold and Black.
Patterned Choice exclusives include Tiger Stripe, Green (/8) and one-of-one Nebula.
Fast Break Prizms have small circles running through the background with Blue (/150), Red (/100), Purple (/75), Pink (/50), Bronze (/20) and Neon Green (/5) colors.
Rookie Variations with different photos land one per Fast Break box.
Autographs and Inserts
Signatures, Rookie Signatures, Sensational Signatures and Fast Break-exclusive Fast Break Signatures are fairly all-encompassing with their themes, whether it’s veterans, retired stars or rookies.
Champion Signatures highlight players who have raised the Larry O’Brien Trophy.
Like the base set, all of these autographs have multiple levels of parallels.
Fearless, Fireworks, Prizmatic and Widescreen are among the returning inserts to hobby.
There’s also the debuting Luck of the Lottery.
