When it comes to 2022-23 basketball cards, it’s not quite business as usual from a scheduling standpoint. Like 2021-22, things are behind schedule, at least how they used to be prior to the pandemic and the supply chain issues that followed. Things seem to be getting closer to the old normal, but it’s not there yet.
From entry-level products to high-end releases and everywhere in between, there are still plenty to choose from. If you’re looking for 2022-23 basketball cards checklists, release dates, product information or price guide access, you’ve come to the right place.
2022-23 Basketball Cards – What’s In Store
Panini continues to dominate the basketball card market. They continue to hold exclusive for both the NBA and WNBA. That means all sets with league logos and marks go through them.
Collectors can expect to see an expanded collegiate roster from Topps in 2022-23. Fanatics is at the start of several deals giving them NCAA rights with several schools. Panini has some collegiate products as well. The new wrinkle here is that some sets will have current collegiate players pictured in full school uniforms.
Other companies like Leaf and Onyx Authenticated can also be expected to produce basketball cards that combine legends and prospects. These sets won’t have logos or official uniforms pictured on them, though.
