The XYZ union monsters are something really close to my heart as Advent of Union (302) came out around the time I started learning about Yu-Gi-Oh!
Not only that, it is of course, the card of the glorious Seto Kaiba and to an extend, the ichi, jū, hyaku, sen, Manjōme-sandā!
The XYZ-Dragon Cannon has three superb artworks and my personal favourite is this one from the 2003 Limited Edition 5: Kaiba Pack.
There’s an interesting fact about this art too! It was an OCG-exclusive art until the 2016 Structure Deck: Seto Kaiba was released and sadly it was released as a mere Common. Luckily after 2 years, in 2018, this art was released as an Ultra Rare in the Legendary Collection Kaiba Mega Pack.
In the OCG, the 2nd print of this card was released in the 2016 Structure Deck: Seto Kaiba as a Normal Parallel, 13 years after its initial print. And that is it. It has never been reprinted again ever since. This makes this LE5 art the rarest art for the XYZ-Dragon Cannon.
Komoney recently announced the retrained counterparts of these XYZ union bois with the new XYZ-Hyper Dragon Cannon. And they honestly looks good and seems like there’s potential to be meta.
I played ABC many years ago and my only gripe about that deck is that ABC-Dragon Buster isn’t as cool as the XYZ-Dragon Cannon.🙊
